Last week, Australian child psychiatrist Dr Jillian Spencer shared her concerns as a whistleblower with an audience of 500 thousand viewers on Channel 7 Spotlight.

She said "I see this as a really serious child protection issue, and as a 45-year-old woman, and as a mother, and as a child psychiatrist, I could not hold my head up if I didn’t speak about this".

Dr Spencer worked as a senior staff specialist for Queensland Children's Hospitals, but was suspended from mid-April after voicing concerns about puberty blockers being prescribed without appropriate mental health assessments.

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend ☀️

Just a quick update regarding my hourly rate. I’m sure you’ve all seen the news etc regarding our unbelievable spike in fuel prices. Unfortunately due to such increases, I’ve had no choice but to also raise my rate by $5 an hour. Please understand for me to continue the standard I have worked very hard to maintain, this rise was necessary. I apologise and sympathise to those this may affect dramatically.

I hope I can still help everyone and continue my business and the high reputation for quality cleans that has grown over that last 12 months. Thank you to everyone who has supported my business in this time.

Happy new year! Scotty and I would like to thank everyone for their wonderful support ☺️

As u all know, Scotty and I work our butts off to ensure we do the best job we can do and believe, at a reasonable cost. Unfortunately though, some people don’t believe our service is worth the price they are charged AFTER the clean is done, then refuse to pay leaving us obviously out of pocket and feeling really defeated.

Here are some fun facts.
* after getting a number of quotes, my pricing for a bond clean was $800, theirs $1200!
* real estates charge $55-$60/hr for them to sort out a bond clean - $15-$20 MORE than I charge.
* most cleaners in the area are not insured and don’t have an ABN- I DO.
* some cleaners have 6+ cleaners working for them and admit how hard it is to find cleaners that do a THOROUGH JOB - It’s just Scotty and I as we haven’t been successful in finding decent reliable staff and won’t settle for half assed.

Scotty is returning back to his usual job as of the 10th therefore I will be going solo once again. If however I continue to be paid incorrectly, I will have no choice but to close down my business. It’s disgusting to expect me to clean then not pay me! And to not even consider how physical our job is and still be that pathetic to not pay, just destroys me!

Hi all.

Just wanting to let everyone know that bond cleans will require a deposit of $500. This decision has come after working my guts out as well as my other staff for 64hrs and giving a rather decent discount ($600 to be exact) and only got paid a portion of it! Obviously I was not impressed and have to change the way I work.
I would like to thank all my wonderful clients who do the right thing and appreciate the work my staff and I do.
