Just a quick post to help raise awareness for our local community.

Lately there has been a huge increase in new “detailing” accounts posting the same copy-and-paste ads across local Facebook notice boards. While some may be genuine, unfortunately there are also a lot of fake profiles and scams circulating online at the moment.

We’d hate to see local families, elderly residents, or anyone in the community lose money through fake bookings or deposits.

Before booking any service online, it’s always worth taking a few extra minutes to check:
✔️ Real local reviews
✔️ Legitimate ABN
✔️ An established business page
✔️ Genuine photos/videos of previous work
✔️ A contact number and business presence
✔️ How long they’ve been operating
✔️ Whether they are insured

A legitimate business should never have a problem answering questions or providing proof of their work before taking payments.

This isn’t about attacking anyone — just encouraging people to be careful online and protect themselves. There are a lot of great local businesses in our area, but unfortunately there are also people taking advantage of community groups and trusting locals.
