With a forecast of a windy 34 degrees today, a total fire ban is in force throughout the Hunter. Our wonderful local firies have been hard at it for well over a week now working on containment lines and battling a blaze already claiming vast tracts of our local bushland.

A giant round of applause for our local RFS volunteers. We love you and all you do to keep our community safe! Thank you so much for your hard work.

Please don't be that mungbean that adds to their already staggering workload. Don't light it, don't chuck it out the window, don't wait for the wind to momentarily drop. Just don't. Stay unlit, Lagunatics.
