As most people know, we have sold our trucks.

We are not sure where this new journey will take us, but will hopefully let us work less and holiday more so we can start to enjoy life 🤞

We have had some of the best drivers around over the past 8 years and we can’t thank them enough for the time and effort that they put into our company for many years. Thank you Matt, Tank, Chris,
Alan, Ethan, Tommy, Daniel, Clint, Ronnie, Paul, Jason and John. We really thank you and all your families- we couldn’t have achieved everything we did without each of you!

Looking back, we had 13 trucks over that time.
Matt bought only one from brand new and he was told by everyone that it will ruin him and it was a stupid thing to do, so it was a huge accomplishment when it was paid off before the loan term ended and before this deal was offered.

We have had some good times and a s**t load of hard times. And although I can’t even count the amount of times that plans changed and the work changed and the direction we were going in changed, but Matt and the boys made it work every time.

Thank you to all the subcontractors that worked with us, thank you to the Mechanics that often fitted us in straight away. Mark, Chris, and Clayton-Thank you!! Your time, effort and talent was always appreciated!

Shaun S, John D, Matt A, Tank, Ethan, Tommy, Uncle David, Dad (Grahame) and Jason P- Thank you also for the huge amount of support you have given us- all the days/nights and weekends you have given up to help keep the trucks on the road.

Thank you to everyone else that has helped us along the way including both our families and of course our kids that have spent so many hours at the farm (a lot of hours working and learning to fix, service, maintain and drive trucks), lots of hours travelling for parts (and new trucks), lots of times being ignored and neglected while we were working.

We love you all- thank you!

As this year comes to an end, so does this chapter of M&J Collins Haulage.

Normally this time of year Matt and the boys are flat out working on trucks, giving them a bath and lining them up for the annual photo before maybe getting one day off before the new year starts again if they were lucky.
But this year there is nothing to work on, nothing to wash and only time to play with the kids.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas 🎄

The first time we have had them all in the one place

Everyone knows the reason Matt is into trucks is because of his Pop, Clive.
Clive is Matty’s hero, and everthing he knows, everything he does, and everything he has, is thanks to growing up with Pop in the trucks.
You may remember the old tribute to Pop on the old trucks we don’t have anymore, so we recreated it with “Leave him in the Longyard” since his passing and now have it proudly displayed again on the K200.

Unfortunately we lost Matt’s Nan, Milly in October last year, and neither Matt or Pop would be who they are without everything Nanna did for them, from making their lunches for work, cooking their big steak dinners and Sunday roasts, to supplying all the beer over the years and just having to deal with the truck driver life, so we now have a tribute to Nan on the CAT truck with “Country roads take me home”.

“Looking forward, looking back” is still going strong on the Coronado.
