🛁♻️ Rug Rescue Time
While the official Riverina Rug Rescue Initiative hasn’t quite launched yet, here’s a little sneak peek of one of the projects currently in the rug spa.
Not every rug rescue is guaranteed to be a success.
This wool rug has seen better days and there’s a good chance some of the damage may be permanent. But that’s exactly why it became a Riverina Rug Rescue project.
These rescued rugs give me the opportunity to test, learn, and build my restoration skills without risking a customer’s treasured rug. Every challenge teaches me something new about fibres, dyes, stains, and what is actually possible.
The goal isn’t always to create a perfect rug.
Sometimes the goal is simply to make it better than yesterday.
And every lesson learned on a rescue rug means there’s a better chance of saving the next customer’s rug before it reaches this stage.
If a rug gets wet, suffers pet accidents, is stored incorrectly, or simply gets loved a little too hard over the years, the damage can quickly become permanent. My hope is that through projects like these, more people will know there’s a local rug washer here in the Riverina who can help before a rug reaches the point of no return.
So if you’ve got a rug sitting in the shed, tucked away in the garage, or one you’re convinced is beyond saving, give me a call before it heads to landfill.
You might be surprised what’s possible. ✨
