This one was a hard post for me to write 💙

It's easy to let someone help you on the outside... but letting someone into your home when you feel embarrassed by how it's gotten? That takes a whole different kind of courage.

Over the last year I've faced more ups and downs than I can count. Running a business, being the only parent, making sure I'm there for every school event, every sports training & game and every milestone for my kids... somewhere along the way, my own home slipped further and further down the priority list.

It's a little ironic really, because helping people in exactly this situation is what we do every day and absolutely love it, because I understand more than you all realise. I know firsthand that life gets busy, overwhelming and exhausting. We never judge our clients, and now I understand even more why asking for help can feel so difficult.

A little while ago I finally did just that and invited Kristin from Refreshed Home & Lifestyle Solutions into my home.
I honestly couldn't have chosen a better person for the job.

After long workdays, evenings spent at sport, the usual mum duties, then replying to clients, enquiries and staff.. once the kids are finally in bed some nights all I have left in me is to put a load of washing on, start the dishwasher and get everything ready for the next day. Before you know it, months have passed and the house has quietly fallen behind.

In just 2 days, Kristin helped me tackle months worth of overwhelm. She didn't just help organise my home... she gave me back a space that feels calm again, a weight off my shoulders, and the motivation to keep on top of it again.

So here's another shout-out to an amazing local business, and another reminder that even those who spend their days helping others sometimes need to ask for help too.

Well... it happens ... I woke up this morning to a string of messages, and every single team member who was due to work today suddenly couldn't.

Sometimes life just throws everything at once. Through absolutely no fault of their own, my team are dealing with some unexpected personal circumstances, and unfortunately we've gone from four staff and a very full day... to no staff at all.

To everyone who is booked in today, I'm so incredibly sorry. 💙

At this stage I can't offer a definite solution because it all depends on how everyone is tomorrow. There's also a chance I may need to postpone some of tomorrow's bookings as well, but I'll keep everyone updated as soon as I know more.

Owning a small business means days like this hit hard. I hate letting people down, and trust me when I say I've been trying to work out every possible solution.

Sometimes, though, life happens. As frustrating as it is, some things are simply beyond our control.

Thank you all for your patience, understanding and kindness. It truly means the world to me and my little team. 🌻💙
