Floodwater is covering three lanes of Greenhill Road.

SA Police and SA Metropolitan Fire Service crews are at the scene, with eastbound closed to traffic.

Motorists should avoid the area.

Extreme temperatures are sparking Australia Day event cancellations in Adelaide's CBD, as a heatwave suffocates parts of the country.

With temperatures predicted to reach 45 degrees, the evening program - Aus Lights on the River - has been cancelled, including the event's firework display.

The Mourning in the Morning ceremony will continue.

👀 An un-koalaified road user was spotted entering the Heysen Tunnels in the early hours of this morning. 🐨

Safety measures in the tunnels, which recently underwent a major upgrade, alerted our Traffic Management Centre team who acted quickly - closing the lane and reducing the speed limit to 40km/h to protect everyone - while the koala made its way back to safety. 💚

The freeway tunnels are equipped with an Intelligent Transport System, including thermal incident detection systems, CCTV, lane use management signs and variable message signage, which help to keep motorists (and wandering wildlife) safe!
