We all love that just cleaned feeling when the cleaner’s been. But how do you stretch it out and keeping your place looking good when you’ve still got a week to go?

Here are our top 5 tips for doing just that;

1. We can’t take credit for this because we got it from a client (who I might add always has a lovely looking shower, even when we haven’t been in a while) but we can share it.
Get yourself a squeegee for the shower. It takes just a moment to wipe down your walls after you’re done, and it will help prevent both mould and keep your glass looking clear.

2. It’s another shower tip. Ditch the creamy moisturising cleansers. Nothing makes a shower screen fog up faster than the thick, oily, designed to stick even in water stuff! Go for a natural, good old fashioned bar of soap. It’s better for the ocean and less packaging too. Win win.

3. Now this one can seem like a bit of effort but it doesn’t have to be. Vacuum. Stay with me! It doesn’t have to be the whole house, just the high traffic areas, and a really quick once over will do. A clear, clean floor makes such a difference to a room. Plus an added bonus is you’ll have less dust to settle on everything.

4. We’re lucky to have so many great parks, nature walks and puddles to play in here in the hills but there is one downside. All that dirt! A great big doormat inside and outside your front and back doors will help to catch much of what gets walked inside. And you can give them fresh life with a good whack outside every so often. Just stand upwind (speaking from experience, your eyes will thank you)!

5. Lucky last, it’s one that is the norm in some other cultures but not that common here in Australia. No shoes inside! Shoes step in some really gross stuff. You can really let your imagination run wild thinking of all the possibilities. Best to keep that all off the floor your kids roll around and you occasionally eat dropped snacks from.

Bonus tip! Shave the dog. Not really. But who else has a pet who thinks a freshly mopped floor is an invitation to scatter eye watering amounts of loose hair around?!

Well, we've survived another lockdown. Even though it was short it felt very long and heavy.
Since buying our business 17 months ago, we've only worked for 9 of those. Yikes!

While we *love* our regular clients and all that comes with building relationships and community, if we are to remain a business in the event of another lockdown, we need a back up plan! This is why we've created space for vacate cleans and move in cleans. We will still continue some regular cleaning with the view to add more soon, for now we will pivot slightly.

Whether you're moving out of a rental and want to leave the place sparkling, or moving in to a new home and want to make sure it's fresh and clean for you to move in we've got you covered.

Here's a little something to give you the warm and fuzzies on a dreary Sunday afternoon!
This family's waste reduction strategies may seem like too much in one go, but you don't have to go all in. Every little bit helps. They make some great suggestions like:
- Grow your own herbs and greens
- Make your own dips and snacks (being a mostly vegan household we give hummus and yum balls a really good run 😋)
- Connect with your local TerraCycle Community Collection Hub
- Transition away from single use items and towards reusable items like coffee cups, drink bottles, cutlery, straws etc.

I cannot stress enough how absolutely *stunning* these flower presses from are. They are so beautifully made (in Australia!) with such intricate detail and take me back to my childhood where my sister and I would spend hours collecting and pressing flowers with my Nan ❤️
We're still working away on our website and we'll be up and running soon for you to do some Christmas shopping for your little ones ###

We got another delivery today! And we lost power during dinner which meant we simply *had* to try a delicious soy candle from In A Glass 😍 These beauties are hand poured on the Mornington Peninsula into recycled wine bottles and scented with pure essential oils.
This is a really lovely brand and we'll share more from them when we've got some light.
We hope everyone is keeping safe and warm in this wild weather xx
