This older Hilux came in for an interior clean after the recent rain decided inside was a nice place to be.
On inspection it wasn't too bad, but some small mould patches had popped up.
To clean properly the front seats were removed, so i could clean and treat the areas around the seat bases and transmission tunnel properly. After a full carpet shampoo, mould kill and cleaning and dressing all of the dash, door trims etc. The interior was free of mould and moisture.
Outside then recieved attention with a full clean and headlights restored after seeing they were far from their best

Some PPF applid to Au Xr8 headlights. This adds a small barrier to stop small stonechips etc and to protect the glass lense. I have done this to many Glass lenses on classic cars with succes to date.

The mid 2000s bruiser with a supercar heart

500hp supercharged v8. 6 speed manual tremec transmission and live axle rear end. The last throwback to the golden era of muscle.

It's not every day you get to see one of these in the flesh, let alone play a part in preserving one.

This GT500 is low km and well looked after.
With original paint and never being polished until now, it didn't need a massive effort to massage to the point it should be at but still took around 10 hours to do. 2 stages only required on this one. And even the vinyl striped came up mint.
It was protected via Angelwax Australia and looking awesome.
This one was great to work with.

This one is a little more obscure than most cars but a rare one.
EVO 7 GTA. Rally bread icon but with automatic transmission.

This one came to me in a tired but very original condition. No mods. All standard and driven and enjoyed.

The plan with this one was rejuvenation and preservation because cars like this are very few n far between without mods and original inside and out. Cars are only original once, and the story can continue for a while yet with the right care n treatment.

1st up was an extensive decontamination clean that stripped years of waxes contaminants, fallout, and coatings on all surfaces. Including a thorough engine bay and wheel and arches clean.
In the final step, there was a chemical strip to make double sure that any waxes and protection sprays were gone, so a good consistent correction process was possible.
Most of the japanese iconice cars like EVO, GTR,Supra, etc. have very soft paint that is thinner than most cars as well , so consistency in the correction process is more important than on most other cars.
The correction process was a 4 stage deal and slowed right down to manage the result without removing any more paint than normal.
This one received a ceramic coating to give a sacrificial barrier between the environment and soft paint that is very easy to irreparably damage.

The interior was in a pretty decent condition, so it was fairly straightforward. In saying that, seats and centre console came out to get the carpet shampoo'd properly. So no surpises in the carpet were left untouched. All trims and the dash were also cleaned and dressed as well

Being a preservation detail on a very original car. The idea is not to make it perfect, but to get it as good as an original car will let you without jeopardising originality. So there are imperfections and tell tails that it is a 24 year old car that has been enjoyed and is unmolested. But it will continue being original for years and looking as good as possible in the process

How can you not love this thing

I was tasked to clean and correct this one after the Townsville wet season to make sure the usual moisture related stuff hadn't mad a mess and to check it over to make sure it was clean mould free n ready to get out of the shed afyer the rain stopped.
On inspection, there were wear marks from a car cover on the top edges of the car, so the decision was made to fully correct the paint as well.

This car was built or rebuilt to this standard 10 years ago very well, so outside a few little denibs and polishing the marks out of the paint, it was pretty straightforward.
In saying that there is 20 hours in the paint to chase that shine and protect it via denibbing 3 stages of correction a, followed by an Angelwax Australia Enigma titanium coating.
The interior was treated to a full clean and mould inhibiter for all trims and a full leather treatment on the 4 custom trimmed Recaro Seats and dressed all of the rest of the trims dash accordingly

This car has some polished metal scattered throughout, so the Weld wheels were polished. Along with the bits n pieces in the engine bay to keep them popping.

This car was a bit of a privilege to be trusted with and an enjoyable challenge to get right.

Shout out to Townsville Gearbox Reconditioning for getting a gearbox sorted for me,

It received a bit of a health check and fitted a Hanlon motorsport bellhousing adapter

These guys have looked after me a fair bit and have looked after work for customers for a while now.

This R32 skyline came to me for some love and a ceramic coating after being purchased and prepped to be freighted to Townsville NQ
It had fresh paint but still needed quite a bit off attention to get right.
As you can see from the working photos quite a bit of denibbing was needed. Then also lot of work smoothing the paint to get it as close to where it needed to be as possible. Was a bit of a marathon to get sorted.
25 hours in total this paint correction took to get looking much better. Then finished of with Angelwax to keep it protected and looking great

This one was had a few peoples input to get sorted. Mitch from Wayward Mechanical & RWC in worongary got the mechanical stuff checked over and fixed and replaced a lot of suspension bushed including removing the rear cradle to repair a failed previous repair. Hall's Fab & Auto in Molendiner welded it up and it all went back together properly this time.

This one was a big job to get to be where it is now. But well worth it. And is now ready to drive n enjoy when it gets to it's new home

Xy falcon sedan, big cube small block v8 , with a little bit of history and a great story to tell.

Build by the guys at Kool Cars and Kustoms for a local townsville guy. And built with purpose in mind. Great tunable front and rear suspension. 427 windsor, Motec EFI , tremec T56 Magnum, 9 inch diff. V8 supercar brakes and a very well-done paint n panel job.
This car will out drive most cars n look better doing it too.

My job was to refune the paint and chase that shine before applying Angelwax Australia Enigma titanium coating

Paint has been done for a couple of years, so it had well n truly cured. I set about prepping 1st by cleaning and decontaminating before inspecting to see what, if anything, that i had to rectify during the paint process.
A few minor things to sort but nothing major, just chasing the shine while using a lot of patience.
3.5 days in total jusr for a paint correction and coating. 25 hours all up
I did give the wheels some love with Briliant Polish to bring them up. And as a treat, LR_Media came in to do some nice photos. Lighting due to the weather was against us, so that will be revisited shortly when the rain goes away.

A big thank you to the guys at Townsville Gearbox Reconditioning for the venue, too. These guys have been very accommodating and lent me some space to get this car done and in a safe and secure spot, too..

The car community has some great people in it. And as you can see. Townsville can build some truly high-quality cars. It's great to see
