Blue Property Services is a strata property maintenance service provider. We have been operating over the last 10 years throughout the city metropolitan area, supporting Apartment Complexes with scheduled cleaning, gardening and light maintenance. Our Cleaning / Grounds Maintenance Team is offering a full time position with following details: Job title: Field technician - Grounds person Job Function: - Working mostly in a 2 person teams. - Attend strata buildings and apartment complexes to provide scheduled maintenance. - Ensure premises are cleaned, gardens and common areas well maintained according to specifications and client’s satisfaction. - Ensure there are enough supplies on hand, and ensure all equipment is in good working order. Tasks/Duties: - General garden maintenance of lawns, hedges, trees and w**d control, hand w**ding. - Use of hand operated mowers and trimmers, application of herbicides. - Working in landscaping projects, garden clean ups, refurbishments, mulching, planting trees, plants and hedges, green waste removal and deposit. - Grounds / cleaning maintenance of common areas, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, removing cobwebs, cleaning paths / driveways and building externals, cleaning grounds using rake, broom, blower and hose, high pressure cleaning, bin management and bin wash. - Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on the lawn care equipment and tools. - Driving of company service vehicles when directed by the management. - Management of yourself within the team to achieve timelines and standards. - Effective communication with management and customers. - Operation of a smartphone app to produce job reports and manage tasks. - Proactively identifying, reporting and solving issues. - Working in a safe manner as designated in workplace procedures. - Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, quality, environment and WHS system. Requirements: - Work experience in general cleaning/gardening/grounds maintenance. - Must have full driving licence (manual/automatic, learners not accepted). - Capable to work with limited supervision and make decisions. - High standard of integrity and reliability. - Strong attention to details required. - Must be well presented and reliable worker who is able to perform routine tasks without supervision. - Familiarity with technology (iPhone). - Location of work: Brisbane metro area. - Location of business: Salisbury. This position is mostly outdoors and requires ability to work in any and all-weather conditions (heat, rain).
