Keeping carpets clean isn’t just about appearance — it’s about creating healthier, safer and more professional workplaces.

At TFM (Aust), regular carpet cleaning forms an important part of maintaining high-quality office and commercial environments. Over time, carpets trap dust, dirt, allergens, bacteria and moisture that standard vacuuming alone can’t fully remove.

Regular professional carpet cleaning helps to:
1. Extend the life of carpet flooring
2. Improve indoor air quality
3. Reduce allergens, dust and odours
4. Maintain a cleaner, healthier workplace
5. Present a more professional environment for staff and visitors
6. Remove deep-set dirt from high-traffic areas

A clean workplace reflects the standards of your business — and carpets are often one of the first things people notice.

Whether it’s scheduled maintenance cleaning or targeted stain treatment, investing in regular carpet care helps protect both your workplace presentation and your long-term flooring investment.

Sustainability is no longer a “nice to have” — it’s becoming a core expectation of modern facilities management.

At TFM, we support cleaner, healthier and more efficient workplaces through smart cleaning practices that align with broader sustainability goals, including supporting buildings working toward NABERS performance outcomes.

From waste reduction initiatives and environmentally conscious cleaning products to efficient consumable management and responsible operational practices, every small improvement contributes to a better-performing building.

A well-maintained facility doesn’t just look better — it can support occupant wellbeing, operational efficiency and long-term environmental performance.
Because great cleaning is about more than presentation. It’s about performance, sustainability and creating workplaces fit for the future.

Keep Our Stormwater Drains Clean!

Did you know that litter and debris in stormwater drains often end up in our rivers and oceans, harming wildlife and polluting the environment?

Regular car park sweeping plays a vital role in preventing this. By keeping car parks clean, we stop rubbish, leaves, and dirt from being washed into drains during rainstorms.

A cleaner car park not only looks great but also protects our waterways and supports a healthier planet. Let’s do our part!

Don’t Overlook the Overhead!

At TFM, we know that clean ceilings make a big difference — not just for appearance, but for air quality, safety, and maintenance too.

Exposed pipes, ductwork, and lighting fixtures can easily collect dust and cobwebs, especially in commercial and industrial spaces. Regular cleaning helps:
✅ Maintain a professional and hygienic environment
✅ Improve lighting efficiency
✅ Prevent dust from circulating into the workspace
✅ Extend the lifespan of fittings

Our trained team uses safe, effective techniques to clean even the hardest-to-reach places — because every detail matters.

Spotless ceilings, spotless reputation.

Contact us today to include overhead cleaning in your routine maintenance plan!

Why Are Cleaning Equipment Colours So Important?

Ever wondered why our mops, cloths, and buckets are colour-coded red, green, and blue?

It’s not just for looks — it’s a critical part of hygiene and cross-contamination control in professional cleaning.

Here’s what the colours mean:

🔴 Red = Toilets & Washroom Floors
Used in the most high-risk areas like toilets, urinals, and bathroom floors. This ensures germs from these areas don’t end up elsewhere.

🟢 Green = Kitchen & Food Prep Areas
Used exclusively for kitchens, food courts, or anywhere food is prepared. Keeping this equipment separate protects against bacteria transfer to other areas.

🔵 Blue = General/Low-Risk Areas
Used for low-risk areas like offices, hallways, and public spaces. These places are cleaner by nature, so the blue gear stays away from bathrooms and kitchens.

Why It Matters:
Using the wrong colour in the wrong place can spread harmful germs — fast. That’s why we train all our staff to follow this system strictly. It’s a simple rule with a big impact on safety and cleanliness.

Clean smarter. Stay safer. That’s our standard.

Cleaning Chemical Safety: Protecting Our People & Your Premises

At TFM, safety comes first — and that starts with how we handle cleaning chemicals.

✅ All products are clearly labelled
✅ Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are always on hand
✅ Staff are trained in proper use, mixing, and storage
✅ PPE (gloves, goggles, masks) is worn as needed
✅ No decanting into unlabelled bottles — ever!

Whether it’s a routine clean or a deep disinfection, we follow strict protocols to protect your space, our team, and the environment.

Because clean should never mean unsafe.

Most people don’t realise this… but those little medicine blister packs can’t go in your household recycling!

They’re made from a mix of plastic and foil, which means they need specialised recycling — otherwise they end up in landfill.

The good news? There’s an easy solution.

You can now recycle your empty blister packs at Chemist Warehouse stores, where dedicated collection bins are available.

What to do:
• Finish your medication
• Pop the empty blister packs aside (keep them dry)
• Drop them into the collection bin next time you visit Chemist Warehouse

Why it matters:
Small items like these add up quickly — and in cleaning, we see firsthand how much waste can be reduced with simple habits.

At TFM, we’re all about practical sustainability. It’s not about doing everything — it’s about doing the small things consistently.

Next time you finish a pack… don’t bin it. Recycle it.
