✨Meet Ellie — Bringing Her Heart into Our Community✨

I’m so happy to welcome Ellie to our Home Help with Tess team. She’s someone I know our community will connect with straight away.

Ellie is one of those people you feel comfortable with straight away. She’s friendly, kind, caring, and has that gentle way about her that makes you feel heard and supported. She’s also an early bird (thanks to two little boys who don’t believe in sleep‑ins 😅), so she’s someone who starts her day with warmth and patience already built in.

Outside of work, Ellie’s happiest doing the simple things — cooking, gardening, taking her boys to the park, and spending time on her parents’ property. She’s very family‑centred, very grounded, and you can see that in the way she talks about life and the people she loves.

What really stood out to me was her reason for choosing support work. Ellie said she knew it would be a fulfilling role, and that helping others warms her heart ❤️. She loves the idea that even the smallest moment — a smile, a chat, a bit of company can make someone’s day better. And that’s exactly the kind of person we want supporting our community.

Ellie brings patience, kindness, and a genuine desire to make people feel valued. She hopes to become not just a support worker, but a trusted friend to the people she works with. She wants people to feel comfortable, supported, and cared for — and she carries that warmth into every interaction.

When I asked her why she chose Home Help with Tess, she said she’d heard we were “a great bunch of women” and loved the diversity of the role and the wide scope of support we provide. It’s clear she’s someone who naturally fits into the way we work and the heart behind what we do.

🏖️Ellie’s favourite place in the world is Tuross Heads, where her family returns each year. It’s a spot full of memories, laughter, and the kind of peace that stays with you long after you’ve left. And if you ever want to win her over, BBQ meats and salads are her absolute favourites — shared around a table with the people she loves most.

And when life gets busy, Ellie reminds herself of a quote she’s carried for years:

💙 A Moment That Filled Our Hearts Today 💙

Today Bev took Meegan to Wagga for a very special surprise — a live performance of Bluey.
Right up until the curtains opened, she had absolutely no idea what she was about to see.

And then… that smile.
The pure, unfiltered happiness on her face — that’s the reason we do what we do.

Bev kept me updated throughout the show, sending pictures & videos that honestly gave me goosebumps. Seeing Meegan so excited, so joyful, so completely in the moment made my heart full. It’s a privilege to be part of days like this, and I’m grateful we could make this happen for her.

This photo isn’t about work.
It’s about passion.
It’s about purpose.
It’s about the pure happiness we get to share.
It’s about the privilege of being part of moments like this.
It’s about the moments that touch our hearts and remind us why kindness matters.

For some people, today might look like a simple outing — but for Meegan, it was magic.

Days like today remind me how lucky we are to walk beside people in their joy — to witness moments that stay with us long after the day is over. Meegan’s happiness filled our hearts, and we’re so grateful to have been part of it. 💙✨

Today we pause to honour Alison Oliver, one of our earliest clients and someone who has been part of Home Help with Tess since the very beginning.

Alison was honest, kind, caring — and a good friend. She never let her illness bring her down or stop her from living life on her own terms. Her bravery, her strength, and her ability to put everything into perspective made her a grounding presence for all of us.

She was our very own Dear Dorothy — the one we could count on for honest feedback, gentle truth, and a reminder of what really matters.

Our thoughts are with her family and everyone who loved her as they navigate this loss.

🌼 Meet Brodie — Our Newest Team Member at Home Help with Tess
We’re so excited to welcome Brodie to our Home Help with Tess family.

Brodie describes herself as bubbly, kind, and always thinking of others — and it shows in everything she does. Outside of work, you’ll usually find her surrounded by family and friends, cooking up something delicious, or unwinding with a bit of reality TV.

With years of experience in childcare, Brodie brings a beautiful mix of knowledge, patience, and genuine care. She holds a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and has worked as an Early Childhood Educator with Bright Beginnings and Temora Preschool. Through this work, she has gained strong experience in understanding and supporting behavioural needs and challenges in children aged 0–12 years.

She also comes to our team fully credentialed, with her First Aid certificate, Working With Children Check, and NDIS Worker Screening, giving families confidence that they’re in safe, capable hands.

Brodie has always had a passion for supporting people, and now she’s excited for the opportunity to support individuals and families in their homes — knowing that people often need just as much care, reassurance, and practical help there as anywhere else.

What matters most to Brodie is simple but powerful:
treat others how you want to be treated.
It’s a value she carries into every shift.

She hopes to bring plenty of practical help, a sense of relief, and — most importantly — a smile to the faces of the clients she supports. Her goal is to make people feel cared for in the best way possible.

When we asked why she chose Home Help with Tess, she said she’d always heard wonderful things and knew it would be a great place to work. We’re thrilled she trusted her instincts, because she already feels like such a natural fit.

🛑Staff will not be working on public holidays or weekends during this time.
