This family business continues to grow, currently employing 13 staff. FAOPMA Pest Summit 2026 | Auckland, New Zealand 🇦🇺🇳🇿

What an incredible few days spent learning, connecting and sharing ideas with some of the best minds in the pest management industry.

This year, Trent, Natasha, Ethan and Ash travelled to Auckland to attend the FAOPMA Pest Summit 2026, bringing home fresh knowledge, new ideas and valuable industry connections that ultimately benefit our customers and team.

A highlight of the summit was seeing Trent invited to join an industry panel discussing "Next Generation Service Technicians – Challenges & Training", alongside Tom McGill, Aimee McBean and Abhinesh Pal, chaired by John Murray. It was a fantastic opportunity to share experiences and discuss the future of our industry. 🎤

The summit also celebrated excellence across Australia and New Zealand with the Pest Manager of the Year awards. After being honoured with the title in 2025, it was wonderful to see our good friends Jack and the team at GC Pest Control take home the award this year.

Congratulations to GC Pest Control on a well-deserved achievement, and to our fellow finalists Pest2Kill and everyone recognised throughout the summit. The calibre of businesses in our industry continues to raise the bar.🏆

🎉 Happy 2-Year Work-a-versary, Owen! 💚

Over the past two years, Owen has continued to grow his skills, completing his Timber Pest Qualification and becoming a trusted technician across general pests and termite management.

While he's usually a little camera shy, every now and then we manage to catch a glimpse of his personality too... especially when there's a playground slide involved. 😄

Good news! Our cheeky, unwanted roof tenant has finally made its way out through the one-way door! 👏
 
With the possum safely vacated, Trent returned today to:
🔨 Remove the one-way door.
🏠 Seal the original entry point.
🛠️ Mesh additional sections of guttering to help stop any future possums from moving in.
 
A happy ending for the homeowner... and a new home for one very persistent poss. 💚🐾

📚 Learning today. Protecting homes tomorrow. 🐜

Jacob has kicked off his Timber Pest Training, spending Day 2 alongside Trent building his knowledge through both classroom theory and practical, hands-on learning.

Over the coming weeks, he'll continue developing his skills in the field, working alongside Trent, Brenton and Ethan to gain real-world experience identifying timber pests, completing inspections and learning the LPE way.
