🎉 10 YEARS OF LOCAL PEST EXPERTS! 💚

Tomorrow we’re pressing pause from 10:30am for a pretty special reason… We’re getting the whole LPE crew together to celebrate 10 years of Local Pest Experts! 🥳

Our office will be closed from 10:30am Friday 16th October for the remainder of the day.

While we’re away, please leave a voicemail with our digital assistant, Elpey, and our team will get back to you when we return on Monday.

A decade of growth, plenty of lessons, a whole lot of pests, and most importantly — some incredible people who have been part of the journey along the way.

Thank you to our customers, community and team — past and present — who have helped make LPE what it is today.

Here’s to 10 years! 🥂💚

🧇 Wednesday Waffle | Flying Termites (Alates) vs. Flying Ants 🏠🐜

Notice a swarm of flying insects around your home, after warm, humid weather this week? 👀

This week, Jared steps in alongside Trent to share some of his knowledge on termite alates (winged reproductive termites) and how to tell them apart from your everyday ants.

From their wings to their body shape, there are a few key features that can help you identify what you're looking at! 👀

🎥 Tune in as Jared takes us through what to look for and why identifying these little guys matters.

Another great example of our team sharing their knowledge and putting education into practice! 💚

⭐ Customer Review Highlight⭐

Exceptional service isn’t just about what happens when our technician arrives — it’s the whole experience, from the first phone call through to wrapping up the job. 💚
We love hearing that both our admin and field teams played their part in making this customer’s experience a great one.

Clear communication, taking the time to explain what we’re doing and keeping our customers informed along the way — that’s exactly the experience we aim to deliver. 🙌

Thanks so much for the wonderful feedback and for choosing Local Pest Experts!

🎉 8 years of Liv! 🎉

Today marks Liv’s 8th Work-a-versary with Local Pest Experts!

From day one, Liv had a special shine that is only outshone by her incredible work ethic.

Eight years later, her knowledge of termite management would rival most practising technicians, and her ability to recall a customer’s address — or some bizarre little detail about a job we completed five years ago — never ceases to amaze us. 😂

But more than what she knows, it’s what Liv brings to our team every day that makes her so special.

Keep doing you, Liv. We love watching it, and we’re incredibly thankful for every year we’re lucky enough to have you as part of our team. 💚

Happy 8th Work-a-versary, Liv! Here’s to plenty more. 🥂

🎉 Happy Birthday, Jacob! 💚

Wishing a very Happy Birthday to our very own Jacob! 🥳

It’s been a big year for Jacob, most recently taking on his Timber Pest Training and continuing to build his skills both in the classroom and out in the field. 🐜🏠

We hope you have a cracking day, Jacob — preferably with fewer subfloors, more cake and an early knock-off! 😂🎂

Happy Birthday from all of us at Team LPE! 💚

👋PESTIE PROFILE | Meet Owen! 💚

Next up in our Pestie Profile series is Owen — or O, Morgo, O-Dog… depending on who you ask. 😂

Owen has been part of Team LPE for 2 years and has packed plenty into that time — including recently adding his Timber Pest qualification to his belt. He’s a capable technician, a great teammate and, despite our best efforts, still notoriously difficult to get in front of the camera. 📸😂

A few Owen essentials:
🩵Blue is the colour
🧄Garlic bread is apparently a food group
🍺and a “nice cold, long-neck” is his drink of choice.
🎼His pump-up song? Bury Me in Bourbon — which feels extremely on brand. 🍻

And his best advice for our customers?

👉 “Sealed, plastic containers for food!”

Simple advice that can make a big difference when it comes to removing an easy food source for unwanted pests. 🐭🐜

🚨 PRANK PATROL 🚨
It started with Trent getting Streeto GOOD… 😂

Naturally, Streeto decided someone else needed to experience the same trauma.
Enter Sarah.

The setup: solid.
The commitment: 10/10.
Sarah’s reaction: 😐

Not a scream. Not a flinch. Completely unphased. 😂
Nice try, Streeto. Better luck next time. 👀💚

🎉 IT’S OUR BIRTHDAY MONTH! 💚

October marks a pretty special milestone for Local Pest Experts… we’re turning the big 1-0! 🥳

And what better way to kick off our birthday month than with a little throwback?
These are the some of first LPE headshots of our current team members — some going back a little further than others! 😂

A lot can change in 10 years. New faces have joined, roles have evolved, the team has grown but each of these people now plays a part in what LPE is today.

Throughout October, we’ll be celebrating 10 years of Local Pest Experts and taking a few trips down memory lane to share some of the people, moments and milestones that have shaped our first decade. 💚

For now, enjoy the throwbacks… and cheers to 10 years of LPE! 🥂🎂
