💜 LEX Renovations – Apparently, We’re Boutique!

*Previously LetsBeHandy

A very happy client recently described LEX Renovations as more of a boutique renovation business than a traditional painting company.

I had to laugh. Most days I’m covered in paint, sawdust or something I probably shouldn’t have knelt in. Hardly boutique! 😂

But I think they might be onto something.

At LEX Renovations, it’s not just about slapping paint on walls. It’s about attention to detail, quality finishes and transforming spaces into something my clients love.

What I do:

🎨 Interior & exterior painting and decorating

🪵 Deck restoration, repairs & maintenance

🔨 Kitchen & laundry makeovers

🏡 Property improvements & transformations

Female-owned, hands-on and just a little obsessed with getting the details right!

📩 Taking bookings for upcoming projects. Get in touch for a quote!

LetsBeHandy | Renovating with a woman’s touch… and a slight obsession with the details. 😏

From tired and dated to fresh and fabulous, I take on renovation projects big and small-ish — with a focus on quality, precision and doing things properly the first time.

🎨 Interior & exterior painting
🪵 Deck restoration & repairs
🔨 Kitchen & laundry fit-outs
🏡 Property maintenance & renovation projects

Female-owned, proudly hands-on, and slightly OCD about straight lines, clean finishes and leaving your home tidier than I found it.

📍 Location: Narraweena but servicing the Northern Beaches & surrounds

ABN: 74219075970
Public Liability Insurance: $10,000,000

*A quick note on the images: All renovation and painting work shown is 100% my own work. AI has only been used to virtually stage some spaces with furniture and décor to help showcase the finished result. No AI was used to alter or enhance the actual workmanship. ✨

They call it OCD.
I call it quality control. 😂🎨

Crooked lines? Nope.
Paint on the hinges? Absolutely not.
“One coat should do it”? Get out. 🚪😂

I’m the painter who’ll spot the tiny imperfection from across the room… fix it… then stand there staring at it for another five minutes just to make sure.

Slightly obsessive. Highly particular. Proudly fussy.

Because “that’ll do” doesn’t do it for me.

📍Based on the Northern Beaches, but also serving surrounding areas

🎬 Deck Restoration Series – The Cliffhanger (Almost the Final Episode!)

We finally made it… or so I thought! 😅

This project has had everything:
🌧️ Torrential rain.
💨 Wild winds.
🔩 Stripped screws.
🥵 And the small matter of carrying eight bearers up seven levels of fire stairs. Who needs a gym membership?

The decking is down, and I was ready for the victory lap… until I discovered I had 500 screws left to install and the entire building industry had apparently agreed to retire square drive screws at the exact moment I needed them! 🤦‍♀️

After a statewide treasure hunt, we finally found a supplier and placed the order.

So stay tuned for the final, final episode… where, assuming no new plot twists appear, this saga will finally come to an end! 🍿🔨

🎬 Episode 4: Accurate weather report or deck update? 🌧️🪵

At this point, I’m not sure if I’m rebuilding a deck or auditioning as the local weather reporter… 🌦️

It’s been days and days of rain, with only the occasional burst of safe, productive work. But we’re slowly getting there!

Another completely rotten bearer has been removed, and now comes the suspense… what hidden surprises are lurking beneath the remaining decking boards? 👀

Stay tuned… this series just keeps delivering plot twists.

🎬 Episode 3: The Beauty of Fresh New Bearers…

After battling stripped screws and hauling 4m bearers up 9 flights of stairs (my gym membership has officially been cancelled 😅), the tide has finally turned.

Two brand-new bearers are now in place, creating a solid foundation for everyone who walks across this deck. One step closer to bringing this deck back to life!

Stay tuned… the series isn’t over yet. 🍿

🎬 Deck Disasters – Episode 2: The Horror That Lies Beneath… 😱

Last episode, we lifted the decking boards… now the real nightmare begins.

Hidden rot. Failing framing. Structural surprises that have been quietly getting worse for years. 👀

The good news? Most of these horror stories can be repaired before they cost you an arm and a leg.

Stay tuned… because Episode 3 is where the transformation begins. 🔨✨

Chapter 1: The fight with stripped decking screws… 👀🪵

Your deck may look great on top… but underneath? That’s where the horror movie starts.

An assessment can uncover hidden structural issues before your deck decides to throw you a surprise party… straight to the hospital.

Inspect it before you regret it.
