42 hours. Four trucks. Roughly 1.2 million litres.
Wednesday, 5:00 PM β a Sydney CBD basement, three levels underground, going under water.
We had the first truck there that evening and didn't stop until Friday morning. Rolling shifts, day and night, four trucks through the job.
Over 100 metres of hose. Three storeys of vertical lift. Roughly 1.2 million litres pulled out.
Why a HydroVac and not a standard waste tanker? Vacuum. A normal liquid waste truck pulls around 500 cfm. Our HydroVac runs at about 2,300 cfm β four to five times the power. That's the difference between clear in two days and shut for a week.
Great work by the crew, by Bow Bowing Plumbing Services on site β and by our partner network, who had trucks on the ground at no notice.
Basement flooding? Pit backing up? We're on call 24/7.
