Today ASB VAC Services proudly hosted our Clean Up Australia Day event at Poulton Park, Connells Point.

We were pleased to have Mortdale Girl Guides join our event and to work alongside Oatley Flora and Fauna Conservation Society to help improve and protect our local environment.

It was a strong example of what can happen when business and community groups collaborate with a shared purpose.

Thank you both for your time, energy and commitment to protecting our local environment. The impact was real, and it wouldn’t have happened without community groups working together.

As a company operating in civil infrastructure and environmental services, this isn’t just a one-day initiative for us. It reflects the responsibility we carry every day in the work we do.

🚧 Haberfield Sewer Main Exposure — Completed Safely & Efficiently!

Our team recently wrapped up a challenging excavation in Haberfield, where we were brought in to safely expose a damaged sewer main so repair crews could get to work.

This one definitely kept us busy 👇

Our team was recently called to a property experiencing major flooding after heavy rain. The stormwater system had completely failed, with collapsed terracotta sections, heavy root intrusion and rock obstructions buried beneath concrete, gardens and tight-access areas.

Over two days, we carried out extensive Non-Destructive Digging (NDD) using hydro excavation and vacuum extraction to safely expose the damaged stormwater line. The ground conditions were extremely challenging — waterlogged soil, dense roots, rocks, and narrow work zones up against retaining walls and structures.

Despite the complexity, the team removed all spoil, exposed multiple access pits and trenches, and created a safe, clean work area for the plumbers Fix n Flow to install a new stormwater system.

Another strong result delivered safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to the property.
