Garlic Honey & Other Things You Can Do to Prepare for Flu Season:
It’s mild April and autumn is gently settling in 🍂
This is the best moment to prepare your home before winter arrives — while the weather is still warm and dry.
A simple refresh now can prevent mould, dampness, and that heavy winter feeling later. Think carpets, curtains, airflow, and those hidden corners we often forget.
Small actions today make a big difference tomorrow.
Then there’s the part I personally love most about this time of year — the rituals we bring into the home.
This weekend I’ve prepared something simple but powerful: garlic fermented in Manuka honey. Organic garlic, raw honey, time. Thirty days of transformation.
It becomes a small daily ritual in our home as winter approaches — something I share with my children, something that quietly supports immunity from the inside while we are so focused on caring for everything outside.
Because at the heart of it, this has always been what I believe:
your inner world and your outer world are constantly in conversation. Winter simply makes that conversation louder.
So consider this your gentle reminder — not to rush, but to prepare. Not from fear, but from awareness.
A gentle reminder: prepare, don’t rush 🤍
