Today is International Security Officer Day, and we're taking a moment to recognise the people who make it possible to feel safe at work, home, and everywhere in between.

Security officers are often the first face someone sees and the last line of defence when things go wrong. They stand every shift, in every weather, at every hour, so that the rest of us don't have to think twice about our safety.

At Challenger, that's not a slogan. It's what our officers do across all our sites, every single day.

To every officer on our team: thank you for backing each other, owning every shift, and showing up when it matters most.

It's live. 🎉

Our new website is here and it's been a long time coming.

Same team. Same commitment to safe, clean and protected environments across every site, every shift, every day. Just a fresh home that better reflects who we are and how we work.

Head over, have a look around, and see what The Challenger Way looks like in 2026.

We've been working on something very exciting and last Friday; we had the pleasure of launching something we're genuinely proud of: The Challenger Cleaning Academy.

The launch opened with a Welcome to Country from Elder Julie Webb of the Durrug Nation, followed by a didgeridoo performance by Elder Gummaroy Newman, and a traditional dance by Lisa Lawrence - a fitting way to begin a space built on respect and standards.

This Academy isn't just a facility, it's a step-change in how we train our frontline cleaners. It gives us a dedicated educational centre to build on our existing protocols and deliver uniform, consistent training across every site we service. For our partners, that means the same high standard of care, delivered by people trained to one benchmark, no matter which site they walk onto.

That's what strengthening a partnership looks like in practice and it's the model we'll bring to every current and future partnership across CSG.

A genuine thank you to as this milestone wouldn't have happened without your continued partnership and the role you've played in bringing it to life. This is a shared achievement!

Thank you also to Tukuafu, Caledron and Wallace for the use of the space at MSU, and to Cameron for facilitating the journey from idea to opening day.

And a huge thank you to our internal champion Raupa who worked tirelessly to make this happen and put his whole heart into seeing it through and will continue to live and breathe t

The Challenger Way: Collaboration, Accountability, Continuous Improvement. This Academy is proof of our values in action.

Last week, ahead of NAIDOC Week, our team came together for a Lunch & Learn with Elder Davison to deepen our understanding of CSG's Reconciliation Action Plan.

Elder Gregory generously shared his time and knowledge, helping our people connect with the "why" behind reconciliation, not just the plan on paper, but what it means in practice, every day, on every site.

None of this happens without the people driving it behind the scenes. A special thank you to Sam Raupa, our RAP Champion, and the whole RAP Committee, whose energy and commitment made this session possible and who continue to push our reconciliation journey forward.

Sessions like this matter. Reconciliation isn't a once-a-year conversation, it's an ongoing commitment, and conversations like this one help make sure our whole team is walking that journey together.

Thank you, Elder Gregory, for your generosity and guidance, and thank you, Sam and the RAP Committee, for making it happen. We're looking forward to carrying this into NAIDOC Week and beyond.

As we celebrate NAIDOC Week 2026, we join communities across Australia in recognising this year's theme, 50 Years of Deadly, marking five decades of NAIDOC celebrating the history, culture, achievements and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

At Challenger, we're sharing stories internally throughout the week that highlight significant moments in that journey, from the Day of Mourning in 1938, to the Wave Hill Walk-Off, the Mabo Decision, Charlie Perkins and the Freedom Rides, and the enduring legacy of Jandamarra. These moments aren't just history. Their impact is still felt today, in conversations about equality, recognition and reconciliation.

Reconciliation isn't confined to a single week. Through our Reconciliation Action Plan, we're committed to building respectful relationships, creating opportunities and strengthening cultural understanding, so Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples feel valued, included and supported to succeed.

Transitioning cleaning services across 99 sites in 11 weeks, while meeting strict aged care compliance requirements and keeping every facility running without disruption, is not a small ask.

We recruited, trained and deployed over 150 staff from the ground up. Every person was site-ready and audit-compliant from day one.

This is what accountable delivery looks like in practice. National scale, local attention and people who take ownership of every outcome.

If you need a facilities partner who can mobilise quickly without compromising compliance or service quality, we'd like to talk.

Winter is here which means cold and flu season is in full swing across schools, childcare centres and university campuses. 🤧

Our education cleaning teams specialise in infection control and high-touch surface disinfection — the areas that matter most when illness is circulating. Backed by ISO-certified systems, you get consistent standards every shift, not just when someone's watching.

Every team member is police checked and holds a current Working with Children Check. That's not optional for us, it's standard.

Whether you're running a primary school, an early learning centre or a university campus, we keep spaces consistently clean, safe and compliant all year round.

Don't wait for an outbreak to act. 📩 csgroup.com.au
