This classic Fiat Abarth 500L came in requiring some serious level of paint refinement before being protected with our Modesta BC-X liquid glass ceramic coating system.

Paint Correction & Refinement Process
To properly address deeper defects and previous imperfections, selected panels were wet sanded using 1500, 2000, and 3000 grit.
This allowed me to safely level defects that could not be removed through polishing alone, setting the foundation for a true finish.

From there, the full Modesta preparation process was carried out:
• Full decontamination wash (even classics hold years of embedded contamination)
• Iron fallout removal and chemical decontamination
• Clay bar treatment to remove bonded contaminants
• Multi-stage machine polishing using Rotary polisher, Oberk Haken to cut, Cartec 9000 as a mid step followed by Modesta C-02 compound and Micro wool pad to remove any remaining imperfections and refine the paint.
• Secondary wash to remove polishing residues
• 100% IPA panel wipe to ensure a completely bare, residue-free surface.
