Nissan GT-R R35 update 👑

The last time you guys saw this car it was stripped bare. No doors, no bumpers, nothing on it.

Now it’s fully reassembled in Millennium Jade and finished as close to factory as possible. Fully blocked and polished, interior restored, hydro dipped trims, and all the little details put back together properly.

Part 4 of the tour.

This is the command centre.
Calls, emails, ATO dramas, sticker cutting, race stripes, airbrush stencils… all the fun backend stuff of business that keeps the place running.

Wanted the office to feel less like a box and more like somewhere you actually want to spend time, so we went with a bit of a cigar lounge style fit-out.

Then through to the wash bay where all the washing, decontamination and prep work happens.
The lighting is set up to pick up imperfections in the paint so we can correct everything properly before the car leaves.

This is what a day in the life looks like with us.

Everything from blackouts and repairs through to full freshen ups and resprays. Mustang in for a tidy up and update, a few repeat customers getting carbon bits and kits sorted, and parts everywhere waiting their turn

We’ve got grilles, visors, engine covers getting colour matched, plus a brand new 300 Series in for the full package, chrome delete, tint, ceramic, the lot.

And the GT-R… what started as a couple panels turned into a full strip and respray. Escalated pretty quickly, but that’s how it goes when you want it done properly.

That’s a snapshot of what’s moving through the shop right now.

Part 3 of the tour.

This is where we mix everything in-house, paint codes go into the system, it spits out the ratios, and we weigh it all out to get the colour right. Even then, sometimes you still have to tweak it by eye to get a proper match.

We’ve also got the hydrodipping setup here. Start with a prepped part, base coat it, lay the film, transfer the graphic, then clear and polish it. That’s how you go from a raw piece to something like a faux carbon finish.

There’s a fair bit going on in this space, not just work either. Bits and pieces we’ve collected over time, stuff we’re into, things that make it a better place to spend your day. If you’re here every day, you may as well enjoy it.

This car was previously full PPF.

People always ask the difference between PPF and ceramic coating - two completely different things.

PPF is a thick protective film, almost like a vinyl layer. This one was a satin finish, but over time the cheaper film faded and sunburned, and the colour went off.

We’ve stripped it back, repolished the paint, and switched it over to a ceramic coating instead.

It’s not as thick as PPF, but it gives a strong hydrophobic layer that bonds to the paint and makes cleaning way easier.

The goal is simple, keep the surface clean, protected, and effortless to maintain.
