How are we supposed to heal the inner child when we’re only looking after the adult in the room?
Somewhere we’ve forgotten that the arts, ritual, community.. were the original healers.
Not the analysis, not the note taking, not the “tools”, not the diagnosis.
Children don’t need to be taught wonder. They live inside it.
And that wonder? It’s not something we grow out of. It’s something we get slowly conditioned to stop paying attention to.
Awe pulls people out of the cage their mind made for them. Back into their body and back into the present moment.
Annnnd back into this radical idea that life is actually magic.
And even more radical.. that so are they.
When it comes to therapy… That’s the whole point.
To hold the torch steady enough that someone finds their way back to their power - self trust - self compassion.
When we bring creativity and whimsy back into the room, we stop being the all-knowing expert and start being beside someone.
Their inner child already knew that. We’re just finally making room for them.
Every element of the Ipsarty studio was chosen with the inner child at the center.
Designed from the ground up as a space where the whole person could walk in.. to just be. Or maybe even step into a state of curiosity.
And now I’m opening it to practitioners who believe that therapy needs to be delivered differently, and in beautiful spaces that soothe and invite wonder.
Welcome to the creative care movement..
