This BMW E30 belongs to one of our regular customers, and after trusting us with a few of their clients’ vehicles recently, they finally decided it was time to put their own pride and joy on the dry ice treatment table.
One thing you’ll notice is the yellow staining throughout the engine bay. That’s old transport wax, commonly applied to imported vehicles to protect them during shipping. Left untouched for years, it goes from “protective coating” to “looking like someone spilled custard under the bonnet.” 🤮
Using dry ice blasting, we safely removed years of oil, grease, dirt and grime, along with that ageing yellow wax. The bonus? The original black hoses, plastics and finishes get a chance to show off their natural colour again.
No chemicals. No abrasives. No mess. Just frozen CO₂ doing what it does best.
Imported a car years ago and still finding yellow transport wax hiding in every nook and cranny? You’re not alone. We spend a surprising amount of time introducing stubborn transport wax to its natural predator…dry ice! And spoiler alert… dry ice wins. ❄️😎
