What Mental Load Burnout Actually Looks Like
It's not always crying in the shower or having a complete meltdown.
Sometimes it looks like:
✔ Remembering the school excursion form
✔ Booking the dentist appointments
✔ Knowing the dog is due for vaccinations
✔ Planning dinners for the week
✔ Organising sports uniforms
✔ Keeping track of everyone's schedules
✔ Running out of energy before the day has even started
From the outside, everything appears under control.
Inside, it feels like carrying a never-ending checklist that nobody else can see.
The hardest part?
Most mums don't get a break from thinking about everything that needs to be done next.
If you're constantly exhausted despite never sitting still, it might not be laziness or lack of motivation.
It might simply be mental load burnout.
Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is take a few things off your plate.
What's one task you wish someone else would handle for you this week?
