LETS TALK ABOUT TRAPPED MOISTURE
Hey guys 👋
I wanted to talk about the most common problem you’ll have within your homes
These moisture absorbers are from Kmart (aesthetically pleasing ones can be found at Bunnings and other sites online too), ranging from $3 to $12 depending on the size you choose. The refills are $5 to $9
80% of my clients have so much moisture trapped inside their homes, causing mould to appear on the ceilings, furniture, clothes, windows, blinds, you name it! It can be avoided!
Before you try to fix your mould issue, you HAVE to clean it all so it doesn’t continue to spread. If you want advice on how to clean it yourself or you wish to book us in, please message me
After the mould is cleaned- I’d highly recommend one of these for each window, wardrobes, areas where you have had an issue with mould.
Remembering to empty and refill the absorbers every time they’re full of water.
Opening all your windows!!
The best time to do this is in the early morning before the sun hits the house or late in the evening.
Condensation on your windows too? A bit more pricey but a window vacuum comes in handy for this!
You will need to wipe down and dry your windows on a regular basis.
Did you know most of your furniture sweats??!
Keep your furniture off the walls in your home to prevent sweating and mould growth up your walls.
Mattresses- they NEED bed frames. Even if it’s raised off the floor ever so slightly. You cannot leave your mattress on the floor for months at a time, they sweat the most!
If you have a rather excessive or large mould issue, I highly recommend purchasing a few air purifiers after the mould is treated.
—— Even if you don’t have a mould problem now, buy your place moisture absorbers!! ——

WARNING ⚠️
If your child’s car seat starts to grow mould, please throw the seat out, do NOT attempt to clean it. Whether it is professionally cleaned or not, you cannot save mould on fabric. It will come back worse with the spores that are stubborn to stay behind- unseen. It is a huge risk for your child.
This also is my advice for fabric furnitures like lounges, dining chairs, pillows and mattresses etc.
