THOUSANDS OF SPIDERS EMERGE ESCAPING FLOODWATERS

Residents across NSW are sharing terrifying images and videos of spiders trying to get to higher ground to escape the floodwaters.

Melanie Williams from Macksville NSW filmed thousands of spiders crawling up her garage door. Footage and images from across the state show spiders clinging on to fences, doors seeking shelter from the floodwaters.

Matt Lovenfosse snapped thousands of spiders at Kinchela Creek, NSW trying to beat the floodwaters.
