Yanting Ma is an Assistant Accountant in our SCS Group Finance team.

Since joining in February 2023, Yanting has seen the business grow significantly and is proud to have grown alongside it. She credits that growth to our leaders and the hard work of people across the company, and values being part of such a supportive team.

For Yanting, our move from Mount Waverley to Ringwood marks another exciting milestone. Less time travelling and a spacious, modern workplace have made a real difference to her working day.

She also shares her thanks with everyone who helped bring our new headquarters to life and is looking forward to what’s ahead.

A proud (HUAFC) tragic, Ken Tsirigotis was happy to show off the signed club jersey at the official opening of our new SCS Group headquarters!

Our National Partnerships Manager is pictured with HUAFC’s Commercial Manager, Steph Angelos, and General Manager, Melissa Costa, alongside the jersey that now has a home in our office.

We’re pleased to support the club with pro bono cleaning services and volunteer program support. It’s a practical way we can contribute to the club and the community around it.

A big thank you to the Anytime Fitness crew for inviting SCS Group back to this year’s conference and giving us the opportunity to host a stand.

Our own Nicholas Pastras JR (Nick) and Jaxon Binns enjoyed catching up with familiar faces, meeting new club owners and teams, and hearing how things are going across the network.

The conference was also a great opportunity to introduce Jaxon, who will be working alongside Nick to help Anytime Fitness clubs across Australia with their cleaning and integrated services needs.

In the video, Nick shares a few reflections from the weekend and thanks everyone who stopped by for a chat.

Everyone deserves to feel safe at work and return home safely.

This National Safe Work Month, our Head of People, Culture and Capability, Nilanka Dharmasena, shares how we can all help create safer workplaces.

At SCS Group, our reporting systems, safety committees, regular reviews and health and safety programmes help us identify risks, address concerns and improve how we work.

As Nilanka explains, these systems work best when everyone takes part. Speaking up about a concern, reporting a hazard and looking out for a colleague can make a real difference.

Today, 14 October, we're celebrating the incredible people who work behind the scenes every day to keep workplaces clean, safe and welcoming.

Earlier this week, we shared the story of Carol Copeman, our dedicated SCS Group office cleaner. Today, we're extending that recognition to our cleaning teams working across Australia.

Our teams have been getting into the spirit of Thank Your Cleaner Day, sharing some great photos from their workplaces.

Our cleaners are at the heart of what we do. Their hard work, dedication and pride in what they do make a real difference to our clients, their employees and the people who use these facilities every day.

To all our cleaners across SCS Group, thank you for everything you do. Your efforts are seen, valued and appreciated.

Ahead of Thank Your Cleaner Day this Wednesday, we’re recognising someone who has looked after our own workplace for more than three years: Carol Copeman.

Carol joined SCS Group in February 2023, caring for our Mount Waverley office before taking on our new Ringwood headquarters in July this year. And we’ve certainly given her a few new challenges!

Moving from a single-level office to two much larger floors during a major refurbishment has meant plenty to adapt to. From cleaning up after the trades to learning to operate our new Pudu cleaning machine and caring for our indoor plants, Carol has taken it all in her stride.

Through it all, she’s maintained the care, diligence and high standards we’ve come to know and appreciate, with a minimum of fuss.

Carol is an essential member of the SCS Group team. Thank you, Carol, for your dedication and everything you do to keep our workplace clean, welcoming and ready for the day.

And to all our cleaners, thank you for the care and effort you bring to your work every day.

With Wednesday approaching, take a moment to thank the cleaners who look after your workplace, too.

Working together to bring some Christmas joy

Today, SCS Group joined 1000 Generations and students at Roxburgh Park College for a Christmas initiative that encourages young people to make a positive difference in their community.

1000 Generations creates safe, inclusive spaces for young people, helping them build skills, strengthen connections and improve their wellbeing.

During a two-hour interactive session with Katherine and the 1000 Generations team, students explored the challenges facing children and families experiencing disadvantage, including those living in women’s shelters and public housing.

SCS Group donated the funds to purchase the flat-pack toys, and our CEO, Glyn Davies, National Contract Performance Manager, Layla Davies, and National Partnerships Manager, Ken Tsirigotis, joined students to assemble them for children who may otherwise go without Christmas presents.

It was a chance to put those conversations into action through teamwork and care for others.

Our team will be back in November to help prepare Christmas Boxes. This year, 1000 Generations aims to distribute 800 boxes through the schools and communities it supports.

Thank you to Katherine, the 1000 Generations team, and the students and staff at Roxburgh Park College for bringing this initiative to life.
