If you're scared of walking into low-hanging Spider Webs in your backyard, an effective and eco-friendly treatment you can do yourself is to regularly remove the webs, perhaps by swiping them away with a broom. Spiders use up a great deal of energy to create their web and don't like to see it being destroyed, so they very quickly learn to build their webs higher, out of the way of passing 'traffic'.
