CLEANING WITH CITRUS 🍋🍊🍋🟩
Endless Freshly Grown Citrus 🍋🟩 🍊🍋
Thank You Belinda!
Here’s an interesting fact on how you can use leftover Citrus for Cleaning 🧼 🍋
1. Infuse Vinegar:
* Process:Place citrus peels (lemon, orange, lime) in a jar and cover with white vinegar.
* Steeping:Let it sit for a couple of weeks in a cool, dark place, allowing the vinegar to absorb the oils and scent of the peels.
* Use:Strain the vinegar and dilute it with water (1:1 ratio) to create an all-purpose cleaner for countertops, sinks, and other surfaces.
2. Direct Cleaning:
* Rubbing:Use the inside of a squeezed lemon or orange peel to rub directly on surfaces like sinks, shower fittings, or cutting boards to remove stains and grime.
* Polishing:Lemon juice can be used to polish copper and brass items. Mix it with cream of tartar to create a paste, apply, and then buff with a dry cloth.
3. Freshening:
* Microwave: Place citrus peels in a bowl of water and microwave to freshen the microwave.
* Garbage Disposal: Toss citrus peels into the garbage disposal to eliminate odors.
* Air Freshener: Dry citrus peels and mix them with spices to create sachets for drawers or closets.
4. Laundry:
* Boost Detergent:Add a teaspoon of lemon juice to your laundry detergent to enhance its degreasing power.
* Soaking: Soak clothes in a mixture of lemon juice and baking soda, or lemon juice, lemon rinds, and water to help remove stains.
