Meet Antonio, the heart, mind, and driving force behind Chem-Dry Metro!
Originally hailing from the beautiful twin-island nation of Trinidad & Tobago, Antonio has proudly called Melbourne home for more than 30 years. With a background in Architecture & a naturally analytical mind, he has always been passionate about finding solutions where others see obstacles. It’s this unique mix of technical knowledge, patience, and fierce determination that has earned him so much respect in the cleaning and restoration industry.
But ask anyone who knows him, and they’ll tell you Antonio is much more than a business owner; he’s a valued pillar of the community.
For over two decades, he has dedicated countless hours to mentoring & coaching young athletes in local domestic and the VJBL & Big V basketball programs. For Antonio, it’s about sharing a love for the game, but more importantly, teaching life-shaping values: discipline, teamwork, resilience, and respect. He works tirelessly to give kids from disadvantaged backgrounds a positive outlet and a supportive network to keep them safe.
As a proud Trini, Antonio brings undeniable warmth, energy, and culture into everything he does. He loves his soca music, enjoys a good rum, and has a natural way of making everyone around him feel instantly welcome. His vibrant personality, quick wit, and calm nature are exactly what customers remember long after the job is complete.
Family is where his heart is. Antonio shares his life & business with his wife, Kellie (originally from regional Victoria). Together, they’ve poured their values of honesty, hard work, and authentic care into building a trusted business. Antonio is also a proud father of six and grandfather of four; roles that mean the absolute world to him.
Professionally, Antonio is fully IICRC trained & qualified across all facets of fibre and fabric care. He has built a reputation as a specialist in complex stain removal, often succeeding in saving a carpet where others have said it’s impossible. He treats every single home with the exact same care and respect he would his own.
