๐ TERMITE SWARMING SEASON IS HERE! ๐
Seeing termites flying around your property? DONโT IGNORE THEM. ๐
Those winged termites are called ALATES โ reproductive termites that leave an established colony to find a new place to start one.
When conditions are right, usually after warm weather and rain, termites can swarm in large numbers. Once they land, they shed their wings, pair up and search for suitable nesting conditions.
๐ And this is where the problem can start.
If they find damp soil, timber, tree stumps, wall cavities or other suitable conditions around your property, they can establish a new colony and begin reproducing.
๐ SEEING A SWARM? GET OUT THERE AND INVESTIGATE.
Don't just sweep them up and forget about it.
Try to trace where they're coming from โ inside the house, around the perimeter, from a tree, stump, garden bed or another structure.
Finding the source can provide valuable clues about where termite activity may be occurring.
At One Local Pest Management, we have the experience and equipment to investigate termite activity, locate potential entry points and develop a treatment strategy aimed at dealing with the problem at its source.
