There have been a lot of posts lately talking about the struggles of having a small business, and trust us, we are on the same page. However, there are so many positives, and so we would like to talk about those today.
1. We are able to provide a customised service to our customers. We know our people by name, and are able to have a little catch up every time they come in for chemicals.
2. We have full control of our product. Being our designs, we are able to change things where necessary. That means we are always proud of the product that goes out on delivery day.
3. Things don't get lost like what can sometimes happen in larger companies. We are in the same building, so anytime we need to talk to someone, we are literally less than a 10metre walk to the answer.
4. We can choose our operating hours. That means we are able to work with our customers when choosing delivery or pick up times.
It also means we get Sundays off, so we too can catch up with family & friends.
5. When we are able to help people where others cant, we get to hear about the way it changes their lives in the long run. Its not just a sale, its a story.
6. We have real world and broad experience, so that we don’t have to leave it entirely up to the customer to find out what the next step is.
7. We get to see our staff grow, and the pride that comes with this is irreplaceable.
8. We help keep industry standards HIGH!!
9. Every employee matters, and every employee can see the difference and impact that they make, not only for the business, but for our clients.
10. We are able to educate people on spas & chemicals, and clear up so much misinformation that’s around spas and swim spas. Saving someone from making crucial mistakes that could cost thousands is half the reason we do this in the first place!
Thank you to everyone who gives small businesses the chance. Its not easy out there for small fish like us, but it sure is rewarding.
