Toothpaste and lemons will not fix your faded headlights.

The reason headlights become "old and faded" is because the protective coating over the plastic has failed and has allowed the headlight to become oxidised (yellowed). Unless you apply a coating to the plastic, it will continue to oxidise over and over again. This is why most of those DYI "headlight restorations" only last a week. If that.
