Here's some vehicle related news getting a bit of attention lately. I'm fairly sure I could guess the result of a survey taken in Manjimup... 110 ?? or 90 ??? π€
πIf you travel on one of the 550 roads that have had their speed limit dropped, how are you finding the change?
The RAC's 'Safer Speeds' trial saw speed limits lowered around Margaret River earlier this year.
Not everyone's happy about it.
Jolan Bonelli started a petition to scrap the trial and says there are other factors causing crashes on local roads.
"They can be from speeding over the speed limits, it can be from inattention, it can be from being on your phone... simply reducing the speed limits isn't necessarily going to have positive results."
But Narelle Alderman has had the rescue helicopter land at her farm near Witchcliffe four times over the last twelve years to respond to crashes.
She's glad the speed limit has been lowered on her road to 70km/h.
"We're happy with the lower speed, " she says.
"I agree with people it feels a bit slow on the straight bit sometimes but then when you get to a bend... a lot of people can't navigate the bend."
Do you support the lower speed limits on south west roads? π
