MIFGS 2026 Wrap Up 🫐🌿🍎

We’ve loved every moment in Melbourne chatting all things dwarf fruit trees, blueberries, figs and pomegranates with such an enthusiastic community of home gardeners. From seasoned green thumbs to those just getting started, it was fantastic to share our tips, tricks and passion for growing in small spaces.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat, asked questions, and shared your own growing journeys. It was especially rewarding to reconnect with so many of our repeat customers—your continued support means the world to us.

We were also proud to have such a strong team on the ground, with staff joining us from our wholesale nurseries across WA (Olea Nurseries), VIC JFT Nurseries P/L SA Balhannah Nurseriesand NSW Narromine Transplants Pty Ltd alongside the PlantNet team. A true national effort!

Be sure to follow us on our socials to stay connected—we’re here to support you every step of your gardening journey and help set you up for success.

We also love seeing your gardens thrive, so feel free to share photos of your PlantNet plants with us!

Primocane vs Floricane - what’s the difference?

Primocanes are this season’s fresh growth (first year)– they grow fast and can produce fruit in the same year.

Floricanes are last year’s canes (second year) – they fruit once, then it’s time to prune them out.

As a general rule, all raspberries can be pruned to ground level after they've fruited.

Knowing which is which = better pruning, bigger harvests 🙌

Great fruit, even in small spaces 🍑🍋🍎
