Lest we forget 🕊️

Perhaps the most iconic part of Newcastle's beloved Bathers Way walking trail is the ANZAC Memorial bridge, opened in 2015 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the ANZAC landing in Gallipoli.

As you wander the pathway from Strzelecki Lookout, you'll pass the steel silhouettes of soldiers adorned with the names of almost 11,000 Hunter Valley men and women who enlisted to serve during World War I.

Set upon the clifftops with Newcastle's stunning coastline as a backdrop, this remarkable piece of architecture stands as a tribute to generations past and a powerful reminder for generations to come.
