An appreciation post here, appreciation of my parents starting this family business 52 years ago, yes that’s right 52 years. Mum always did all the bookkeeping and customer relations, dad the absolute work horse, flogging himself constantly, also building an impeccable reputation for quality work and customer service and also for instilling my siblings and myself a work ethic like no other.
I’m so glad that I had became tired of the hospitality industry and started working for the family business 27 years ago, after about 14 years I purchased and took over running the business for the next generation of Byrnes’s.
Not long after I purchased all new equipment and was ready to really ramp the business up but shortly after we lost dad and it seemed surreal that I could no longer talk to him and perhaps gain some guidance.
After a family law court process had finally concluded my parenting role became almost full time and I had to pretty much work school hours and wow didn’t the business suffer.
However recently the kids have grown into such independent champions that I have been able to again become highly focused on the business and customer satisfaction, the business is absolutely firing at the moment and has never been so busy, so I also appreciate the kids for helping me get back on track.
In the last couple of weeks I have been flat out during the week completely the work but also working on revamping the work Ute and really making sure we look the business, you will not miss us coming, I love the fresh look and I’m pretty sure dad would to, thanks Dad, Mum, Tye and Stevie-Lee, 52 years strong and still a way to go😊❤️
