BEFORE & AFTER: Teenage Boy Edition
Spent 4 hours today cleaning this room head to toe.
Meanwhile… I run a business, work full time, cook, wash, organise life, and wonder why I sit down at night feeling completely wrecked 😅
But here’s the thing about teenage boys 👇
It’s not laziness.
It’s not that they don’t care.
Their brain is busy growing, stretching, learning independence and figuring out who they are in the world.
To us: chaos.
To them: organised comfort.
Under the piles of clothes is a system only they understand.
On the desk is evidence of late-night gaming, snacks, mates, and growing up.
And on the shelf?
Cologne. Silver jewellery. Baggy jeans. Oversized shirts.
Because he’s not a little boy anymore.
He’s becoming his own person.
Today I cleaned his space.
Tomorrow he’ll mess it up again.
And that’s okay.
One day the room will stay clean…
and I’ll wish he was still here to mess it up.
Parenting teenagers = loving them through the chaos ❤️
