Centrelink are refusing to put me back on Jobseeker payment so I guess I'll continue operating until I find a job.... god, they're useless..... i'm just trying to make money to pay bills and stuff.... grrr!

170% more views on average.... it's because i'm shutting down, right?

I get that some people are a bit uptight about it but sometimes I can go 2 months without a job which makes things.... financially difficult.

But anyway, business hours are changed to permanently closed now. I've a window clean in Adelaide today, a solar panel clean here in Murray Bridge tomorrow and that's it. I'll be deactivating Facebook tomorrow night. I'll be keeping my gear and keeping messenger active.

I'll be sorting out the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and the ATO next week to deregister the business name and A.B.N, as well as cancelling the business insurance with GIO. Then closing down the business account as i'm $20 overdrawn anyway (as I said, financially difficult).... then reapplying for jobseeker.

Also thanks to those of you that have supported me since I started back in 2021. It's nice to know that when some people say they support local small business, they actually mean it. Unlike the majority that say it to make themselves look good on social media for validation.

Got google sorted!

Window Clean on Thursday, Solar Panel Clean on Friday, then shut down.

Was talking to the missus, my business mentor and a few family members and its official.

My last trading day will be next Friday. The 8th of May. I'm just getting trolled anyway now so this s**t ain't worth it and neither are those that are trolling me.

Thankyou to those of you that have supported me over the last 5 years, it meant a lot having genuine people in my corner but it's time to shut things down. Besides, more time for fishing, etc.

I've a few jobs booked in for next week so I will not be taking on anymore new clients unless it's Cass Lutze as i'm sure things are about due and she's been with me from day 1.

This page and my personal profile will be deactivated as Facebook is way to woke and re***ded these days but i'll be keeping messenger to keep in contact with those of you that I've made friends with, ya know.... actual friends....

Anyway, thanks everyone. It's been fun.

2 jobs booked in for next week.

Guess I'll shut down next Friday. At least I can do a mothers day discount for solar panel cleaning next week so the new resin I put in my DI tank yesterday morning doesn't go to waste.... hopefully.

Been asked why I want to shut the business down.... yesterday was the first job I've had this month. The job before that was the 21st of last month. After yesterday, I've made $1,016 wages for the year after expenses and tax. That's an average of $254 a month. Jobseeker pays $800 per fortnight making it $1,600 per month. Big difference.

If I can't at least match jobseeker with my business, that means that it's not financially viable. The other window cleaners here have "limited availability" apparently.... always booked out and I sit at home twiddling my thumbs waiting for a job, boost posts (paid advertising) and still don't get much work.

At least I can take pride in the fact that I'm self taught. Most other window/solar panel cleaners start off working for someone else before venturing out on their own. I taught myself and went pro instead of being trained by someone else. I developed my own skills through trial and error at home.

I've had the government do a story on me, been on the radio, had a couple of one time government jobs, NDIS clients, a few real estate jobs here and there, etc and I give advice to new window/solar panel cleaners starting out here and in America via groups here on Facebook because unlike other greedy window cleaners, I support fresh blood or recommend clients to them if they're closer as backing each other keeps the industry strong. Sadly, I don't get the same treatment when it comes to splitting work between tradies. Figures....

So yeah, that's why.

If I had at least 4 - 6 jobs a month, I'd be able to continue operating but only making $1,016 wages in 4 months.... I don't see that happening....

The other thing about me is unlike most business owners, I prefer to be transparent with my followers and not hide anything..... hence this post. I've always operated with openess and honesty. Why hide things from your clients, right? 🙂 only thing I don't share is clients details because I'm BIG on client confidentiality. Pretty sure that's obvious by now hahaha

According to my quarterly report between 1st Jan - 31st March....

After business expenses, I made $856 wages during the 3 months.

Things are getting.... difficult now.

If I get no work this week, I'll be shutting the business down on Friday..... not by choice, can't live on nothing and I've bills to pay.

At least jobseeker is $800 a fortnight guaranteed income so that'll make things much easier.

I have made friends with some of you so if I do need to shut it down, I'll keep messenger active to keep in contact. I'll also be keeping my gear for personal use so I will not be selling it.
