We use no chemicals to clean roofs. A splash of detergent for solar panels only.
In over 500 roof cleans I'm yet to find a roof I cannot clean without chemicals or detergents.
Its all about the equipment and 'elbow grease'

And for today's adventure..it may look like I'm just having fun in the Andamooka sun - but its actually an emergency exit mine shaft I'm setting up for an underground film crew and cast.
The Opal digging site is about 100mtrs in, in a vast underground labyrinth mine and around 10+ metres deep, with pitch dark chambers in all directions. So easy to get lost if the lights go out!

One way out is not enough if things go wrong, so I'm abseiling in and digging out a collapsed mine shaft passage to this escape exit, that is super close to the opal dig by pure luck!
By tomorrow it will be adorned with a nice strong escape ladder and a hole in the wall coffee stop spot on the climb up..
Besides a bunch of blokes and one lady down there without ventilation for a day and a bit gets stinky

Up to my old tricks getting a buck or two to play with complicated climbing equipment in remote places. I've come from the Yowah Opal mines and now I'm currently at the Andamooka Opal mines then onto Cooper Pedy next as a 'safety guy' for any mine shaft rescues on a film set. Any chance I get I'm gearing up and training in the shafts. Feel like I'm in a Mad Max film out here!

A satisfying before and after. It has taken alot of experimenting to clean concrete and having a 'not stripey' finish. There is a dubtle science to it and its our secret...however, it was for a long while one of life's great mysteries - "why always the stripes"

Enormous days on top of an enormous roof...including the solar panels.
It was 32C° day on the ground even though the BOM said 27C°...and within 5 minutes of measuring the roof reflective temp, it was 43C° and climbing. Not ideal but we had a time limit!
Seriously not fun - but with a Himalayan mountain expedition on the horizon, hardship has to become our friend.
I have my old sea- xvvvgoing Navy shirts from many aeons ago proving to be life savers protecting me against the harsh sun
