I think the fi****ms industry, licence holders and more effected by the proposed changes need to take class legal action against the government for failing to do a back ground check before issuing a licence and 6 pta's to the Father resulting in this horrific slaughter of innocent people with fi****ms and now the implications as a result.
The son was flagged with ASIO and the Philippines is a known training location, so why was this not flagged?
Hate speech has been spread by greens politicians and pro Palestinian protests have been allowed to happen without action taken to those holding terror flags and chanting against Jewish people.
The current gun laws are strict, but only if the government actually enforce them.
I personally feel that concealed carry could potentially have saved lives if it was allowed by highly vetted and trained civilians such as ex police and ADF.
The proposed gun control will impact far more than what the Government would have had time to consider yet.
licenced firearm owners are a fraction of who would be impacted.
Without listing all, consider every cent that is spent starting from a licence holder. Agriculture, manufacturing, industry, imports, retail, communities, travel, camping, 4wd, government agencies(FAR,LLS, NPWS, Police, local Council, DPI), local shops, fuel, food.
You get my point.
Can this happen again with the proposed gun control. YES!!!!
WHY??? Because if the government fail to back ground check licence holders and new applicants, then this can happen again.
The government needs to focus on itself and its failure before any forml of gun control can be discussed.

I can't actually believe that you can get a licence without being a citizen!!!

Taking away the right to appeal a decision from the Registry surely can't be done!!!

The government needs to focus on protecting all of us from these extremists and stop wasting resources on gun control.

Or a vote of no confidence in both the state and federal governments.
