We love our new logo, always looking at new ideas and ways to do things differently, it was time for an update.

The sun element is key in the logo as it is in our designs, aiming to create light filled and warm spaces. Also key is the orientation of our homes, hence the compass and the radial lines representing degrees but also an efficient and sustainable method for milling timber to avoid wastage and improve quality.

Thank you Hollyholster Art for our logo design. We enjoyed working with you, you made it easy and really considered all our ideas along the way until we found the right combination of original art and text.

The last few years have been so busy in the building industry, by far the busiest we have seen in our 25 years of business, but we are glad to have been able to help so many clients during this time.

Our passion is buildings featuring indoor and outdoor spaces built in harmony with the property's aspect, location and unique setting to maximise passive solar features and minimise water and energy use - like this project that we are working on at the moment overlooking the Cudgegong River.
We also consider material choice, for this project we are investigating the use of charred timber cladding, also known as Shou Sugi Ban, a traditional Japanese method of charring timber with fire. The process protects the material and reduces the ongoing maintenance. It also creates a unique aesthetic and will help the building blend into its surrounding. We can produce rendered images like these at concept stage to help our clients visualise the design.

This adjustable roof is the ideal solution to having a covered area on the north. It provides a weatherproof solution, allows the sun to pe*****te the northern glazing in winter while blocking out the harsh summer sun. This example is located in an awning over a local shopfront however it can be incorporated in an alfresco area at home. At Sunrai we have all kinds of solutions for protecting your northern glazing in summer while allowing your home to be flooded with warmth in winter.

Nearing completion this renovation has provided much needed space, an improved connection to the outdoors and ample glazing to the north for more comfortable living year round. Our clients were considering moving but decided to create the space they were after in a house and location they love.
