Well this is my last week doing Car Care Hills as the time has come to close the business down, hopefully temporarily until a buyer comes along.

I have really enjoyed the interaction with the many people I have met throughout the Hills running this business every day, for the past 9.5 years. But sadly my body and personal circumstances have meant that it's time to move on to something else.

The Business page will remain active, but unfortunately the phone number will cease as of 28th December, so if you need to contact Car Care, please use the 1300 227 227 number.

I'm sure that I will see many of you throughout my day-to-day runnings within the Hills, but it is time for George my vacuum and me to take a rest. Take Care.

Time to clean and protect the engine bay on the Audi today. Quick degrease and clean, then ceramic coated the plastics and added a spray sealant over the rest of the area to help make it easy to clean next time.

I like to protect the plastics, as they cop a beating from the elements, heat from the engine, then fade and begin to look bad especially around the wipers.

Well that is a wrap for 2020 for Car Care Hills. I am taking some time off from December 21st to January 3rd to do things not car detailing related!

I would like to thank all of my regular and repeat clients, without you my business would not be as successful. Also thank you for the many referrals that I receive every week. It is very much appreciated. So much so that I am now consistently booked 2-3 weeks ahead!

It is also time to announce that I am looking at selling the business in 2021. My body has had the final say. It is time to put my passion into something else, not sure what that will look like at this stage, but definitely time for me to hand off the business to someone new. I will create a separate post about this and would welcome anyone who is genuinely interested, to contact me to discuss further. I have built the business up in 8.5 years from no clients, to a business that is consistently booked. Most weeks I am turning away at least 1-2 days of jobs that I can't fulfill. Be assured, that the business will still be running as usual in the New Year as it will be sold as a going concern.

With the lockdown restrictions now in place, I have, like many others, been forced to close up shop for the next 6 days. I was coming into the Christmas period almost fully booked, so I will need to juggle jobs and days to try and keep all my currently listed jobs and clients happy.

I would like to thank all my clients who continually rebook me to look after their car, and the referrals to family and friends, I truely am grateful.

I would like to say that at this stage I am probably not going to be physically able to take on any more jobs prior to Christmas. I still have many jobs pending confirmation and with the covid announcement today, I'm not sure that I will be able to even schedule them in.

Interesting day so far, this morning pull up to the job and my handbrake cable snaps. Fair enough, should have got it fixed ages ago. Then we hear about lockdown. Looks like I'll be an Xbox master in 6 days. Then go to go to my next job and I think my turbo has gone on my van for the 3rd time! Far out!

Project Audi today. Deep cleaning of rims, 5 hours of polishing paint, with 2 stages to remove swirls, scratches and increase the gloss. Just added a wax at the end to increase the gloss and give it some protection until I can finish it off in a couple of weeks with a proper coating. Silver always looks classy and the gloss was awesome showing off a slight metallic fleck.
