Menindee on the Darling River is one of those tiny towns with a huge heart...and loads of history and dozens of sights that locals love to share through their volunteer-run visitor centre and gift shop. But they need some help.
Maree from the Menindee Tourist Association has reached out and asked for our help to find people who may be interested in operating the Menindee Visitor Centre on a daily basis...for at least a minimum of two weeks at a time, possibly longer. Current hours are from 10am to 2.30pm but this could be extended.
The centre provides tourist information, but is also a gift shop and gallery, in much the same way that Milparinka operates. At the rear of the centre is a shower and toilet complex as well as a kitchenette that can be used, but one's own caravan would be necessary.
If you, or someone you know, might be interested please contact Maree by email to [email protected].
