A huge thank you to our IKON team members who took part in Sleep At The ’G in support of youth homelessness.

Hosted by Melbourne City Mission - MCM at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) Ground, the event raises awareness and vital funds for the thousands of young Victorians experiencing homelessness each night.

Participants spent the night at the MCG while taking part in activities, hearing powerful stories, and reflecting on the challenges faced by vulnerable young people in our community.

On any given night, more than 7,000 young Victorians aged 12–24 are without a safe place to call home, many couch surfing, sleeping in cars, or staying in unsafe housing.

We’re incredibly proud of our team members who gave up their comfort for a night to support such an important cause.

IKON proudly congratulates Dr Shannon Kilmartin-Lynch, winner of the IKON Services Environmental Sustainability Award at the 2026 7NEWS Young Achiever Awards Victoria.

Presented by IKON’s Executive General Manager - Safety, Sustainability & Governance, Nick Walker, the award recognises outstanding leadership and innovation in sustainability.

An Indigenous scientist and civil engineer, Dr Shannon is transforming the construction industry through pioneering research that repurposes waste materials, including coffee grounds, face masks, and wood biochar, into stronger, carbon-neutral concrete solutions. His work is helping address landfill waste, reduce emissions, and advance circular economy practices across the industry.

As a Professor and Associate Dean (Indigenous) at Monash University’s Faculty of Engineering, Dr Shannon is also leading important initiatives that embed Indigenous perspectives into education and research.
Congratulations, Dr Shannon, on this well-deserved achievement and your incredible contribution to a more sustainable future.

Excited to share the successful commencement of a new partnership for IKON Services with the team at Avalon Airport ✈️

This milestone is particularly significant as it coincides with Avalon Airport’s recommencement of international flights, a clear signal of momentum and confidence as the Avalon team continue their growth journey across domestic & international travel, and freight operations.

From the outset, there has been strong alignment between our teams, underpinned by a shared commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced aviation environment. IKON is proud to be delivering self-performed cleaning and hygiene services across the extended site, enabling greater control, consistency, and responsiveness across the operation.

A big thank you to everyone involved in the mobilisation. The professionalism, planning, and teamwork demonstrated throughout have set a strong foundation for long-term success.

We’re proud to see IKON Waste Solutions bringing our commitment to reconciliation to life, with two of our new trucks now on the road featuring commissioned artwork from our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan.

Titled Strength in Kinship, Care for Country, the artwork reflects our shared values of connection, responsibility and respect, making our reconciliation commitments visible in the everyday work we do.

Developed through a Yarning Time workshop led by proud Noongar Yamatji woman and artist , the piece tells a story of kinship, the guidance of Elders, and our ongoing responsibility to care for Country. The kangaroos within the design symbolise strength, unity and leadership, representing how IKON continues to walk alongside First Nations peoples with authenticity and purpose.

Seeing this artwork carried across our fleet marks a meaningful milestone - a tangible and public expression of our Innovate RAP, and a reminder that reconciliation is something we actively live, not just document.

Yesterday at IKON Services, we came together to celebrate International Women’s Day, reflecting on the progress made toward gender equality while recognising the work still ahead. It was also an opportunity to celebrate the incredible women across IKON, no matter their roles, whose dedication, leadership and contributions continue to shape our organisation.

Our GM People & Culture, Kathryn Zammit, reminded us that IWD represents more than a century of collective action and the importance of creating workplaces where people are supported, challenged and able to thrive on merit.

We were also honoured to welcome Audrey Nania, CEO of DECJUBA, as our guest speaker, who shared her inspiring leadership journey with our team. Having spent more than 15 years with the business, progressing from assistant planner to CEO, Audrey reflected on the importance of saying “yes” to opportunities, being willing to fail safely, learn and move forward with intention, and leading teams with genuine transparency and authenticity. Her message about continuing to grow, learn and evolve with humility resonated strongly with everyone in the room.
