It’s been a hot minute since our last post, but for good reasons. Over the weekend we received some pleasing news that a couple of hot rods we played a small part in getting them to their best won a few awards at the Hotrod and Custom show in Sydney. In particular the 1932 3 window coupe in Lancelot Cherry which in no other words ‘Stole the show’ taking out the

Both cars were meticulously polished and ceramic coated using Angelwax Genesis to finish these great builds.

A HUGE thank you and congratulations to the team at Deuce Customs. The level of quality in every aspect is mind blowing and it was a privilege to enhance the hard work you have done and present the cars in the best possible condition.

From our family to yours, we wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year! As another year almost draws to an end we can’t thank all of our customers and followers for their support over 2023. Without each and every one of you Platinum Auto Salon wouldn’t be where it is today.

We had the privilege after a full re paint dialing this 1 of 10 in the world (only one in Aus) RTR Widebody mustang! More photos to come!

Seeing double 😵‍💫

The boys over at FD Construct recently treated themselves to a pair of Y62 Patrols after years of hard work and determination! With the intention to use the cars a little more than road cars it was only fitting to take the level of protection a little bit further!

Opting for the recommended Bushwrapz advanced (PPF) kit which was supplied and installed down the sides of both cars. the rest was treated to a paint correction & Angelwax Genesis ceramic paint protection. To tie everything together, a dedicated PPF ceramic was applied over the film, windows coated, wheels coated and a complete interior protection. allowing the boys to take the cars offroad with less hassle and stress.

Huge shout out to Rob at Enhanced Vehicle Solutions for the extra set of hands.

We have some catching up to do!!

First cab off the ranks is another wide body super snake in Cyber Orange fresh off the line from Mustang Motorsport, this one sporting all the fruit!

After a full top to toe in house repaint we carried out a full wet sand to remove paint texture and nibs followed by multiple stages of paint correction to reveal a high depth high gloss finish. Owner opting for the highest level of protection moving forward the car had complete coverage PPF installed curtesy of Invisible Car Bras. Ready to be enjoyed without the stress.

VE SSV

It's always a pleasure to play around with Australian made cars, with this Hazzard yellow example added to the list. We enjoyed this one a little too much, taking a car with a few years under its belt (12 years to be exact) and transforming it to something that resembles a better than brand new car!

Over the course of a few days, we did just about everything we could touch! including a full paint correction & enhancement, premium detailing, paintless dent removal and applied PPF to the gloss black pillars and finished it off with Angelwax Genesis ceramic coating.

Toyota Rav4

This little hot SUV was treated to our new car protection package! after being delivered recently we were able to tee up delivery times and booking times to ensure we could get a hold of it as soon as possible. Delivered in a better condition than most we only had to carry out a light single stage paint correction to remove a few minor defects here and there.

Completed in a plethora of Angelwax goodness including Genisis on the paint work and Trinity on the interior!

The dark side of today's age water-based paint systems and poor workmanship. We came across this particular concerning paint defect in a newly delivered car whilst carrying out our popular new car paint protection package.

Under the haze of scratching is a bird poo stain well and truly on its way to cause a major paint issue, passed its 'staining' stage and onto its 'cracking' stage. left for a few months longer depending on the whether the customer will be left with a nice hole in the clear coat. with a little bit of patience and light wet sanding we were able to get underneath the damaged clear coat safely and permanently remove any risk of further deterioration.

Once we were happy with the overall appearance of the car, Anglewax Genesis was applied to all painted surfaces to ensure longevity, durability and performance for years to come.

VF Clubsport 30th Anniversary

A full package that ticks all our boxes in an Australian made muscle. This Clubsport in Sun of a Gun Grey is a museum piece with the KM to match. Now looking its absolute best after being treated to a full paint correction & enhancement package. With the added treat of Angelwax Genesis ceramic coating to further enhance the aesthetics and deepen the gloss and clarity of the paint surface.

Ford Mustang GT

Every car we get to address is a privilege and this GT is no exception. Sporting a bright orange metallic paint job 'Cyber Orange' now dialed in with our comprehensive paint correction process, removing factory clear shrinkage/haze and the usual surface swirl marks. sealed in with Angelwax Genisis ceramic coating!
