We all love our furry friends, but sometimes our four-legged family member has a little accident. So how do you effectively remove urine stains, and smells, from your carpet? Avoid using steam cleaners to clean urine from carpet or upholstery. The heat will permanently set the stain and the odour by bonding the protein into any man-made fibers. Soak up as much of the urine as possible using a thick layer of paper towel until the area is barely damp.

We use an all-purpose cleaner to spray onto the affected area, then cover the stain with bicarb of soda. Once dried vacuum up the excess bicarb of soda. You can apply this treatment on other stains and marks such as for bed wetting and mattresses, even those old stubborn ones.

Peroxide Bleach.......

As a cleaner one of the most common questions is regarding the use of Peroxide Bleach. Our professional opinion is that we do not use, nor do we recommend it. Bleach may initially give you the desired outcome, however not only is it overly harsh on surfaces, the reality is it hides rather than removes those nasties, such as mould, that we are trying to eliminate. There are many alternatives readily available, if you would like more information on these products, please feel free to PM us.
