This Toyota Yaris has literally only been washed by the rain. Years and years of build up made this paint extremely hard to work with. Requiring multiple goes over with specialised chemicals such as Acidic Shampoo, Iron Remover, Tar Remover, and Multiple Clay Bars. Sadly, the paint still isnt perfect.
The budget for this job only allowed me to add a hydrophobic water based sealant "Beadmaker" by P&S, which isn't as ideal as a ceramic coating.
The client was happy for the route we went down.
Detailing on the side of the road wasn't necessary, but the option was given and taken. This is no problem for our business as we have the correct safety measures to ensure a detail takes place smoothly. Cones were placed parallel to the car giving myself sufficient space to work, and plenty of space for cars on the road to move.
WE LIVE AND LEARN. Throughout details if your not 100% focused, time is your enemy, and since we give a estimated time of the job being completed, I have to stay focused entirely, for the client and the next client after. So todays lesson that I learnt, have your items organised enough so that your not running back to the van when you need something. This will happen regardless, but keeping this in your mind will mitigate loss time.
