Need to wash your doonas and blankets?

Why do we need to wash your doonas and blankets?
Here are a couple of good reasons:
1) Dust Mites
Over time, dust mites will colonise, even if you keep your bed clean. Dust mites are a common allergen, especially for children or people prone to allergies.
2) Sweat, Fluids, and Oils
Even if you shower before bed, your sweat, body fluids and body/hair oils will still make their way to your doona/blanket. Over time, this can create an unpleasant smell along with bacterial build-up.
