To the pest industry community

You may have all seen the updates today regarding steps the Federal and State governments are taking in response to the COVID-19 virus.

AEPMA is making representation on your behalf to the Premiers of all states and territories to have the Pest Industry classified as an essential service.

We urge all members of the community to spread the word about Pest Management as an essential service.

Over the past few days, we have been approached in regards to whether we complete sanitisation treatments. I can confirm that as of Monday 23rd of March 2020, Cavalier Pest Control will be carrying out disinfection treatments along side our normal practises.

We wish to advise that although this is not a cure, this treatment kills 99.99% of harmful bacteria, viruses, fungi and mycobacteria on surfaces and is used by the aviation industry. However, this can not and will not replace general standards of hygiene, which must still be maintained. We have taken bookings this week and will still be taking bookings until the time comes when we can no longer operate.

Cavalier Pest Control is still completing all pest control services. We operate to the national standards that the government has issued. We will not be entering premises where people who have been abroad within the last 14 days, and/or have been exposed to COVID-19. We will not be visiting sites where people over the age of 70 reside. We will continue to maintain our own high standards of hygiene implemented at the beginning and end of each job.

Due to a large increase in demand, we will now be carrying out disinfectant treatments during this period.

We have a variety of equipment to carry out large scale treatments to domestic or commercials, with non erosive chemical- I.e furniture, bedding and electronics are not affected. This is completely family and pet safe!

We are already taking a number of bookings for this service so please book in advance.
