One of the biggest misconceptions about Women Inspired is that it’s all about the photoshoot.

The truth is… that’s just one small part of the journey.

Yes, you’ll have professional hair and makeup, beautiful photos, digital assets and a podcast and plenty of laughs in front of the camera. But what stays with you long after the shoot isn’t the photos.

It’s the women you meet.

It’s hearing stories that make you laugh, cry and realise you’re not alone.

It’s finding yourself in a room full of women who genuinely want to see each other succeed.

Over the years, I’ve watched complete strangers become friends, collaborators, mentors and cheerleaders. I’ve seen businesses support one another, ideas come to life and lifelong connections formed simply because one woman said yes.

For me, that’s the magic of Women Inspired.

The photos capture a moment in time, but the community becomes part of your story I can honestly say, we have some of the most incredible women in our community. Every edition reminds me just how much wisdom, kindness, resilience and generosity exists right here around us.

Have you ever been outraged by something you see on the news or in your community?

Maybe you’ve seen an injustice. Maybe you’ve watched someone struggle. Maybe you’ve thought, “Someone should do something about that.”

What if that someone is you?

The world doesn’t need another perfect woman. It needs more visible women. Women willing to speak up, share their experiences, stand for what matters and use their voice to create change.

So many women underestimate the power of their story. They think they need to have all the answers, have achieved something extraordinary or be further along before they can be heard but change doesn’t come from perfection. It comes from courage.

Every woman who has featured in Women Inspired has created a ripple effect simply by sharing her story. By being visible, she has given others permission to be visible too.

If there’s something you care deeply about, a lesson you’ve learned or a journey that could help someone else keep going, maybe it’s time to stop waiting and start speaking.

Because the world needs more women who are willing to be seen.

Friday night was exactly the reminder I think so many of us needed.
A room full of women slowing down, sharing a nourishing meal, meaningful conversation and experiencing the most beautiful sound healing together.

No photos.
No pressure to capture content.
Just being fully present in the moment.

There was something so nurturing about simply allowing ourselves to pause, breathe and reconnect after a busy week of giving so much to everyone else.

You could feel the nervous systems softening, the shoulders dropping and the energy in the room shift as the evening unfolded.

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is give ourselves permission to slow down and receive. Thank you Manifesting Destiny for bringing your magic.
