How often do you come across wildlife at your place of work?

This Tawny Frogmouth thought he would take safety under the cover of one of our machines.

Not exactly the best place and wasn’t far off being in full sun, so Brandt put on the welding gloves to relocate him to the scrub behind PIMS. Nice work Brandt.

He seemed pretty happy with his location, he was still there when I returned at the end of my lunch break with my camera.

The tawny frogmouth (Podargus strigoides) is a species of frogmouth native to the Australian mainland and Tasmania and found throughout. It is a big-headed, stocky bird often mistaken for an owl due to its nocturnal habits and similar colouring.
